Archivists in Germany have been working for 30 years to piece together documents destroyed by the Stasi, the East German secret police.
The archivists, known as the 'Puzzle Women', face a monumental task as they meticulously reassemble tiny paper fragments to reconstruct the history of their fellow citizens. Time is running out as the victims of Stasi surveillance are getting older. [ more ]
