New York City Prosecutors Suddenly Flip on Change to Evidence Law

It is not often that New York City prosecutors abandon legal arguments or strategies in midstream, especially when they seem to be on the cusp of victory. But on Thursday, they did just that. The city's five district attorneys, in an abrupt about-face, released a joint statement to oppose changing a law that governs the way that case material is shared with defense lawyers.

Apple was granted a patent for an Apple Watch camera and detachable band

While gadget patents don't guarantee anything, they can offer a glimpse into areas a company is exploring.Earlier this week, Apple was granted a patent (US-11571048-B1) for an Apple Watch strap release mechanism that could potentially be used with a built-in camera. That, on its own, is a neat idea, but it's also the third camera-related Apple Watch patent we've seen in recent years.

Cannabis marketers divulge Twitter ad plans as rules ease

The five marketers interviewed for this story said they have been in conversations with Twitter about the platform reversing its cannabis marketing ban for a few weeks leading up to its announcement. So they've been able to express what they want to see reflected in its policies. They all agreed that the interactions have been good and Twitter has at least been receptive to their feedback.

What is APM?

What can you monitor with an application performance monitoring solution?A software application often has many different services and layers to monitor, and APM can be used to monitor each of those layers. For example, an APM solution can be used to collect current and historical information about the following layers:

Infrastructure including memory usage, CPU utilization, and application availability

Application backend such as database query performance and error analysis

Application frontend including web browser rendering, user experience monitoring, and performance metrics

APM isn't limited to monitoring websites.
