FC Bayern Women beat SC Freiburg 4-1 to extend their winning streak, with Pernille Harder scoring her 100th Bundesliga goal and Imade scoring on debut.
We're delighted to give the fans this special Christmas present - the extension with Magda and Pernille is a statement for FC Bayern. Both are real role models with their professionalism every day. Magda takes responsibility, leads the team and communicates openly, while Pernille impresses as more of a quiet leader. Their decision to continue with us shows their desire to keep writing the success story here at FC Bayern.
Today, Ballisager plays for Bayern Munich, the club that brings together the many strands of her experience. "Here, I've found what I really like," she says. "Precision, possession, physical presence, tactical discipline." Elements she learned on her travels all come together here. At 1.71 metres tall, she commands the centre of defence - composed, efficient and unobtrusive. And that's also true of the national team: more than 70 international caps speak for themselves. There, Ballisager is vice-captain, behind a certain Pernille Harder.
Pernille Harder continues to set the benchmark in Danish football by being named the country's Player of the Year for a record ninth time in 2025. The forward received her award on Sunday ahead of FC Bayern Women's Bundesliga game against Hamburg at the FC Bayern Campus. The 33-year-old helped Bayern to a first-ever domestic double in 2024/25 and also won the Supercup
In Madrid, Bayern looked the stronger side, but got off to a horrendous start. Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir was called for a penalty for what looked to be fairly incidental contact with her elbow as she jostled with an attacker in the box, and the visitors found themselves in a hole inside of 15 minutes as a result. The fight-back was there, though, and though the half ended 1-0 it eventually paid dividends.
