Among the hundreds, maybe thousands, of people lining the main street of a small town in upstate New York on a perfect fall Saturday afternoon, this man and his words stuck with me. He was the sort of mild, ordinary-looking person you'd never notice in a crowd if not for his sign. And that was true of almost everyone. These were not the America-hating, Hamas-loving, paid street fighters that Republican leaders had dreamed up in the days before the countrywide "No Kings" rallies.
The following are just a few of the pictures I took today at a "No Kings" protest held in Nassau County, New York. It was a peaceful protest. There was a larger-than-expected turnout, with minimal and respectful police presence. As I anticipated in my post explaining why I was going, there were a lot of senior citizens there. But take a look at what
"I encourage you to watch. We call it the hate America rally' that will happen Saturday. Let's see who shows up for that. I bet you see pro-Hamas supporters, I bet you see antifa types. I bet you see the marxists in full display, the people who don't want to stand and defend the foundational truths of this republic."
