Hong Kong will introduce patriotic education in all primary schools by 2025, aiming to cultivate a sense of national identity among schoolchildren.
The new curriculum will include learning about national security, the opium war, Japan's invasion of China, significant Chinese historical figures, and achievements under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.
The changes were made in line with national-level legislation and aim to strengthen patriotic education in China.
