Inquiry into death of Aoife Johnston (16), who died after 12-hour A&E wait, will probe how UHL is run as HSE confirms damning findings
A new inquiry will examine the circumstances surrounding the death of a 16-year-old girl who died from sepsis complications after waiting in an overcrowded emergency department.
The inquiry will focus on the clinical and corporate governance of University Hospital Limerick, which was found to have endemic overcrowding issues in an internal systems analysis report. [ more ]
