Since we no longer have to wait outside big box stores to score discounts for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the rush of chasing down a discounted PlayStation at your local big box store isn't quite there anymore. But what we've gained from the digitization of Cyber Monday far outweighs what we've lost. Now, the best thing about the post-Thanksgiving shopping holiday is that you can find deals on stuff you actually want without catalog pre-planning or schlepping to the store with a hangover.

Black Friday used to actually just be one day long. Shoppers would camp outside of stores, paper circulars in hand, eagerly awaiting the chance to bust down some doors and save a ton of cash. Over time, the sales event has grown. Now, the entire month of November is a hydra where the heads are "slashed prices" and the sword-wielding hero is an overwhelmed customer.
