Philip Davies, the man who set up London's buildings at risk programme, has been made an OBE in the New Year Honours.

He was a leading figure and director of English Heritage, and has written several best-selling books on architecture.

Tiffany Beck, co-founder and Chair of Trustees at Maritime Academy Trust, has been awarded an OBE for her services in education.
