The victim was on a Manhattan-bound Q train rumbling into the Church Ave. subway stop in Flatbush at around 6:30 a.m. when another commuter confronted him. The suspect pulled out a sharp object and slashed the victim in the face, cops said. Wounded and bleeding, the victim got off the train at Church Ave. and alerted police. EMS rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he was treated for a minor wound.

The light rail line would connect Brooklyn and Queens along a 14-mile-long route from Bay Ridge in Brooklyn to Jackson Heights in Queens. 19 new stations will be built for the Interborough Express and would connect to 17 different subway lines. "The IBX will dramatically improve the commutes of over 160,000 daily riders and we are moving full-speed ahead to keep this transformational project on track,"Hochul said.
