A surprise matchup between two mixed martial arts legends will go down in a few months - but it won't happen at the White House. Most Valuable Promotions announced on Tuesday that former UFC champion Ronda Rousey and women's MMA pioneer Gina Carano will square off in a five-round, featherweight bout at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on May 16. The fight will air on Netflix, making it the first MMA bout to be broadcast on the streaming platform. More fights are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

An American climber scaled Taiwan's tallest tower on Sunday, without a safety net or a harness, becoming the first person to do so. Hundreds of spectators gathered as Alex Honnold, 40, began his journey up the "Taipei 101." After an hour and a half, Honnold had successfully climbed 1,667 feet (508 meters), uttering the word "sick" as he took in the view. He then rappelled down to his wife Sanni McCandless Hannold.

What seemed like an impossible matchup a few years ago is now a reality: Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez and Terence "Bud" Crawford will face off in a fight that promises to break audience records. The highly anticipated duel will take place on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., where the Mexican will put his WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF world titles on the line in the super middleweight division (168 pounds).
