A neighborhood karaoke night at a San Francisco library brings residents together through shared music, singing, and community connection.
And while the city is known for its food, fashion, and design, I think part of what makes Copenhagen feel so special is how closely connected it is to nature and open space-something worth keeping in mind when planning a visit here.
Prague may not drink as heavily as it used to, but the country still ranks third in Europe alcohol consumption. This comes, in part, from pride in pilsner, invented in Czechia, but also the communal role pubs have played for centuries, serving as social hubs for its neighborhoods. As such, these beer, wine and cocktail bars offer an excellent window into the personalities of the capital's major districts.
If you live in the greater Los Angeles area, it's likely you have a defining San Fernando Valley moment or routine. Those can include waiting 30 minutes at Glendale's Porto's for savory potato balls or meat pies. Or perhaps that's flying out of Southern California's top-ranked airport, Hollywood Burbank, at least according to Fodor's Travel Guide. Maybe you melted your face off in Woodland Hills, the hottest city in all the county, or unsuccessfully tried to reverse parallel park there.
