Cooper Flagg will miss the Mavericks' first game back from the All-Star break with a left midfoot sprain and is listed day-to-day.
There didn't appear to be a specific play in the first quarter on which Banchero injured himself. He notified the training staff during the break and initially was listed as questionable to return before the team ruled him out shortly after halftime. Banchero, who turned 23 on Wednesday, scored four points and grabbed three rebounds in 12 minutes. He'd been working his way back to his normal production following a slow start to the season, scoring 28 points in each of the previous two games.
NEW YORK - Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young left Wednesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets with a sprained right knee. Hawks coach Quin Snyder said after the game that Young would get an MRI, while adding that early tests had determined it was not an anterior cruciate ligament tear. Young was injured in the first quarter when teammate Mouhamed Gueye fell into the side of his leg on an inbounds play.
