This Day In Dodgers History: Pedro Martinez Traded For Delino DeShields
The Los Angeles Dodgers traded Pedro Martinez to the Montreal Expos in 1993, which turned out to be one of the worst trades in Dodgers franchise history.
Martinez went on to have a successful career, winning Cy Young Awards and a World Series with the Boston Red Sox.
Delino DeShields, who was acquired in the trade, had a decent season but did not have the same level of success as Martinez. [ more ]
