Lucas' short tenure with the Blue Jays comes to an end Spending most of his time in the minor leagues, Lucas was called up by the Blue Jays after Max Scherzer was placed on the injured list following his first start. In his first two starts, Lucas made a strong impression, picking up the wins in both instances and not allowing an earned run with 11 strikeouts. One of those starts included outperforming Boston Red Sox juggernaut Garrett Crochet on April 8.

"I am excited for sure," Cash said. "Carson, I give him a lot of credit. He had a great year last year, continued to put himself on the map, and after some early season struggles, he's really come out of it and done well lately for Durham."
