Brock Purdy got battered, to the tune of a season-high three sacks and eight hits, the final of which resulted in a left-shoulder stinger and surely more pain to his back. He passed for a season-low 127 yards against a defense that allowed only one pass of 20 yards, to George Kittle, who had just 9 yards on four earlier catches combined.
After a much-needed bye week, the Patriots were immediately tested in Week 15, as they welcomed the Bills for their second matchup of the season, which could have sealed the division in their favor for the first time in six years.
