Bi-partisan City Council duo call for more transparency on migrant spending
Councilmembers Inna Vernikov (R-Brooklyn) and Bob Holden (D-Queens) are proposing a bill to mandate a public database for tracking migrant spending in New York City.
The bill would require the City Comptroller to collect and publish information on asylum seeker spending, including details on contracts and funding allocation. [ more ]
