DEAR MISS MANNERS: I had a choking incident at the office today when I inhaled a cherry tomato. One of my direct reports did the Heimlich maneuver and helped loosen it, and then one of the guys from another department joined in to keep the tomato moving. As I recovered, a secretary from down the hall put a cold compress on my neck and forehead. I want to thank them, but don't quite know the right thing to do.

Another suspected suicide took place at Walt Disney World this weekend, following the Orlando park's slew of deaths and medical emergencies throughout late 2025. The Orange County Sheriff's Office told TMZ they're investigating a possible suicide after discovering a deceased man at the Disney Springs Orange Garage around 9 p.m. on Friday. The OCSO did not immediately respond to the Daily News' request for additional information.

A woman died at Walt Disney World Sunday, marking the fourth death at the Orlando park over just three weeks. On Nov. 2, a woman in her 40s was transported to Hospital, where she passed away, the Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the Daily News. There were no signs of foul play. It's unclear where the woman was on the property when authorities were called as well as whether she was guest or employee.

The Sept. 3 death follows the case of 44-year-old Jimmy Avila, who died last week after an apparent medical emergency at the West Facility on Rikers Island. Another person incarcerated at Rikers died in custody on Aug. 23. On Aug. 29, a 46-year-old man being held at Brooklyn Criminal Court was discovered unresponsive and later pronounced dead. A pedicab driver also died that day while in custody at the Midtown South Precinct.
