Mayor London Breed is pushing for a measure that would give San Francisco police expanded use of drones and surveillance cameras.
The measure also proposes to reduce recordkeeping and reporting requirements for police officers and allow them to engage in more car chases.
Tech industry figures, including Ron Conway and Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen, have donated $350,000 in support of the measure. [ more ]
