MIT researchers have developed a rapid 3D-printing technique that uses liquid metal

MIT researchers have developed a rapid 3D-printing technique called liquid metal printing (LMP) that can manufacture large aluminum components in minutes, making it at least ten times faster than comparable metal manufacturing techniques.
The LMP process sacrifices resolution for speed and scale, making it suitable for creating components of larger structures that don't require fine details. The parts made using LMP are still durable and can undergo post-print machining without cracking or warping. [ more ]
