Come join at the Park Branch Library, every 2nd Sunday of the month, for an afternoon of anime, manga, discussion, art, and lots of fun. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The City of Cupertino is accepting applications for one unscheduled vacancy on the Public Safety Commission. This appointment is for a partial term of less than two years, expiring on Jan. 30, 2027, and doesn't count toward a full term. Applicants must live in Cupertino. The city's commissions serve as advisory bodies to the City Council by considering public input and providing recommendations to the council.

The public is invited to the annual election of mayor and vice mayor by the Cupertino City Council, followed by the oath of office, on Thursday, Dec. 11, at Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre Ave. Doors open for the Mayor Initiative Wrap-Up and Reception at 5 p.m., and the ceremony begins at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
