During questioning by Congress, Attorney General Pam Bondi used shouting as a technique to deflect difficult questions about President Donald Trump and the Epstein Files, citing the current strong stock market as an example of Trump's success. But Trump cannot be let off the hook for possible crimes just because he is perceived as doing some things right. Even a criminal as notorious as mob boss Al Capone appears to have been a family man who supported projects in his community. Such benevolence, though admirable, didn't erase the need for accountability when he committed tax evasion and murder.

"There is no place in civil society for this kind of violent degeneracy," he posted to social. "Leftists, and specifically the mentally deranged 'trans' community, have declared war on the right. It is time all of our leaders, from the Trump Administration down to the local level, put a stop to all of this immediately. We should not allow the continued incitement of violence by leftists towards the right."

Peter Gamez, the openly gay President & CEO of Visit Oakland, already has a full calendar of events in the works for 2026. He shared just a few: Super Bowl Watch Parties - Super Bowl LX (the 60th Super Bowl) is just a few months away and will be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on February 8. Gamez says some of the region's best watch parties will be held in Oakland and have been in the works for months.

Cracker Barrel has quietly removed its website page dedicated to LGBTQ+ Pride and diversity, equity, and inclusion after facing backlash from conservatives over its proposed logo change. Cracker Barrel's Pride page now redirects to its " Culture and Belonging" page, removing information about the restaurant chain's LGBTQ+ Alliance and DEIB Team. The page was taken down around the time the company announced it would stick with its original logo instead of a planned rebrand.

The Fern Alley Music Series, established in 2023, unites music, art, and community every Saturday from May to December 2025 in Lower Polk.

Every summer, the neighborhood throws its own smaller-scale LGBTQ+ Pride event separate from the city's main annual parade taking place this weekend. It's just one of more than 200 Pride events taking place in Germany this year.

This year's Pride celebrations are expected to take a more defiant stance than in recent years, reflecting back on recent political attacks against LGBTQ+ rights.

San Francisco is the only city in the world with a giant triangle over its Pride festivities. It's a huge reminder and warning of what can happen when hatred can become law.
