Early on, Kamikubo repeatedly tried to take the fight to the ground, but the takedown defense of "Mulisha" was able to keep it mainly on the feet. Kamikubo repeatedly got his opponent down as the fight went on and looked for submissions, but both men were bloodied up. Late in the third round, do Nascimento would land a spinning elbow that almost led to a finish.
New category, common opponents with zero risk, fight more times in a year, make more money, reach the belt faster, not to mention that I'm hearing @funkmasterMMA has nightmares about me and already warned his friend @MerabDvalishvili about it - if he wants it, I want it,
There's no special work for this particular opponent. We're trying to improve in all aspects to become the best in the world. I can't see any threat in Figueiredo. Of course, he's a very experienced and skillful fighter. But it's all about his right hand and the right leg. He has some understanding of grappling. He is capable of taking you down. Overall, he's a decent fighter, but I can't see any big threat in him.
Namajunas looked like the quicker fighter early, practically bouncing on her feet. Silva fired a number of kicks, all of which missed. Through the first minute, little if anything either fighter had thrown actually landed. Silva nearly landed a shot clean off a caught kick, with Rose just pulling free in the nick of time. Namajunas then fired a kick of her own up high, which also missed.
The past is the past, let's write a new story, and I'll certainly be going after him with the same determination as the first time. I'll definitely be looking to secure my place in the rankings with another victory. Fans can expect a great war that will propel me up the division's rankings. As always, I'll go in to finish from the start, but if it lasts, I hope to win all three rounds.
