The Rangers celebrate Pride Night tonight, their last game before their bye week and the All Star break, against the Vegas Golden Knights.Vegas isn't dressing a full lineup, as per the published lineup from noon today (if this is outdated now, apologies.I had to write this well in advance today), which makes them vulnerable to a Rangers team that, while struggling for consistency, is finding a way to get points regardless (7-2-2 this month).

During the 2023 NHL Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins, some big news was announced for next year.The 2024 Winter Classic now has a location and teams with the Vegas Golden Knights visiting the Seattle Kraken at TMobile Park.I believe this game has a lot to get excited about.

The New York Rangers are coming off two impressive wins against the St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights.It only gets tougher from here though.Friday night finds the Rangers in a primetime matchup against the Colorado Avalanche with much at stake in early December.

Game Wrap-upsI think the Rangers confidence is back.Since the promotion of Alexis Lafrenière and Kaapo Kakko to the top line, and some other minor line juggles by the head coach, the Rangers have found their confidence.That top line is buzzing, and looks like a reincarnation of the GAG line.Under no circumstances can Gallant tinker with it, it operated at an 86.28 xGF% per Natural Stat Trick.

Tonight's game will be broadcast regionally on NBCSCA and ATTSN-RM.

That wasn't the worst game they have ever played, but that was not very inspiring hockey by the New York Islanders.After two straight two-goal comebacks against theoretically strong opponents, the Islanders failed to score any goals against a theoretically weaker opponent in the Arizona Coyotes on a night where their elite goaltender only gave up one goal (and he didn't really stand a chance on it).

The Toronto Maple Leafs were significantly better than the Golden Knights last night, despite a 4-3 overtime loss.This is the third top-team in a row that the Toronto Maple Leafs played, and for the third straight time their fans should be incredibly happy with the results.The Leafs came out last Wednesday and put everything on the line, making a statement to the entire NHL that they were not the in need of a coaching chance or anything else.

Tage Thompson has become "the guy" for the Buffalo Sabres.The Boston Bruins take on the Sabres for the first time this season Saturday night.With Jack Eichel in Las Vegas, Thompson has made the step up for Buffalo.Through 14 games this season, the 25-year-old has 10 goals and eight assists to lead the team in points with 18.
