JoJo Parker, the Blue Jays' first-round draft pick last summer and #2-ranked prospect, was named to the Spring Breakout roster, and this could be the first instance of Jays fans being able to see the young shortstop on the diamond. The Mississippi product didn't play in the affiliated ranks post-draft and has yet to suit up in a Spring Training game this year, which makes sense as he continues to take the very early steps in his pro career.

Other notables included Dominican outfielders Michael Mesa and Aneudy Severino, who've reportedly signed for $900,000 and $700,000, respectively. Those signings were the second- and third-richest handed out by the franchise, behind Caricote's bonus. In total, the Blue Jays have signed 11 pitchers, six infielders, five catchers and four outfielders from the 2026 class so far, and they can continue to sign international players until the current signing period concludes on Dec. 15.

The Giants have built one of their stronger farm systems in recent years, a development made possible by an influx of players from Latin America. On Thursday morning, San Francisco strengthened that talent pool by officially signing shortstop Luis Hernandez, the top prospect of this year's international signing class, during a ceremony at the team's Felipe Alou Baseball Academy in the Domincan Republic. Hernandez reportedly received a $5 million signing bonus, the largest bonus of the 2026 signing class and the second-largest in franchise history behind only Lucius Fox ($6 million).

Nomo was originally signed by the Dodgers on February 13, 1995, thanks to a loophole in the Japanese Uniform Players Contract that allowed him to voluntarily retire and play for whomever he desired after returning to active status. Nomo had spent the previous five seasons with Nippon Professional Baseball's Kintetsu Buffaloes before getting into a contract dispute with team management, which led to pursuing a Major League career. Nomo signed a Minor League contract with the Dodgers that included a $2 million bonus.
