The Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain has filed legal action against Transport for London, claiming systemic failures in the licence renewal process harm private hire drivers' livelihoods.

"It is the norm in many other workplaces to provide a dignified Christmas bonus to workers. The bonus is then spent on goods and services in local communities," a letter sent from the IWU to Abtran management said.
