Illinois may be up to bat next to build first Great Lakes wind farm after Cleveland drops project
Icebreaker, the first offshore wind farm on the Great Lakes, has been indefinitely suspended due to lack of funding.
The Illinois wind farm proposed for Lake Michigan could potentially avoid the obstacles faced by Icebreaker, as it is larger and has strong state support. [ more ]
