The Charity Commission has opened an inquiry into Al-Tawheed (TUCF) Charitable Trust after videos depicting antisemitism and denial of the Holocaust were revealed.

Videos from events held at the Kanoon Towhid Islamic centre in London showed speeches by members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and included chants of 'death to Israel.' [ more ]

Robert Badinter, who campaigned against the death penalty and was a renowned human rights defender, has died at the age of 95.

Badinter fought for the abolition of the death penalty in France, overcame public opposition, and succeeded in winning parliamentary support in 1981. [ more ]
