Watching holiday films at our home is much like an endurance sport. While there is a strict "not before Thanksgiving rule," once the stuffing has been put away, it's no holds barred. We often print out the annual Hallmark checklist calendar and dutifully mark off each film as we watch. Over the years, however, our zeal has lessened as the roulette of the same storyline repeated does in fact become mildly mind-numbing.

When Netflix released "A Christmas Prince" in 2017, it became one of the true viral moments of the holiday season - eight years later, the streamer is still chasing that high. This year, Netflix released four new Christmas films: "My Secret Santa," "A Merry Little Ex-Mas," "Champagne Problems," and "Jingle Bell Heist." They range from entertaining to bonkers. Here are this year's new Netflix holiday movies ranked from worst to best.

Most people would agree that the perfect Thanksgiving combination is cornbread and gravy. Add a little turkey and sausage stuffing to the mix and it's one of the best holiday meals on the culinary calendar. (Apologies to Christmas, but I don't believe Scrooge when he talks up a perfectly cooked goose). For me? The perfect holiday combo is a good movie and family. Hell, put it all together and nothing beats a food-coma snooze halfway through Remember the Titans.
