Streeting pressed on 'gender-critical' doctor's role in puberty blockers pause

Good Law Project revealed on Thursday (12 March) that the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) temporarily halted the upcoming PATHWAYS trial because of concerns raised by cardiology physician professor Jacob George. The £10 million study, headed by King's College London (KCL), was designed to analyse the effects of puberty suppressant hormones, known as puberty blockers, on transgender youngsters.

Gender-critical women have a right to be heard | Letter

We are not horrible bigots who do not accept trans people and think they should face discrimination. But that is usually the narrative. We are mainly women who have real and well-researched concerns about, for example, the effects of medical treatment that was being given to young people who do not have the maturity to appreciate the life-changing outcomes of puberty blockers and irreversible surgery.

JK Rowling speaks out after Harry Potter director calls her trans views 'sad'

Is it my belief that women and girls should have their own public changing rooms and bathrooms? That women should retain female-only rape crisis centres? That men don't belong in women's sport? That female prisoners shouldn't be incarcerated with violent men and male sex offenders? That women should remain a protected class in law because they have sex-specific needs and issues? That language should reflect reality rather than ideological jargon, especially in a medical context?
