Steve Ostrow, Manhattan Bathhouse Impresario, Dies at 91
Steve Ostrow, founder of the Continental Baths, an iconic gay men's sex club and performance space, has died at the age of 91.
The Continental Baths, located in the basement of the Ansonia Hotel in Manhattan, launched the careers of Bette Midler and Barry Manilow.
The Ansonia Hotel, with its extravagant features and illustrious history, was the perfect setting for the Continental Baths. [ more ]
