Brandon Ingram change the Raptors desperately need him to make

After Raptors Media Day, I like to think Brandon Ingram is just as excited as anyone in Toronto to get the ground running with his new team. He's been out of action for nearly a year ( last game played on December 7, 2024), focusing on rehab and getting back into peak shape. We all know how talented Ingram is on offense, especially in isolation and his patented mid-range game.

Raptors fans are already falling in love with Sandro Mamukelashvili

Sando Mamukelashvili will become an instant fan favorite in Toronto by playing hard, engaging fans, embracing the city, and providing backup center scoring and floor-stretching.

Sandro Mamukelashvili will enhance Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram, and Collin Murray-Boyles

The quick and easy sell with Mamu fit wise is based around his 3-point shooting, and even more so, his above the break 3-point shooting - where he's been one of the highest volume big men in the NBA on a per possession basis. He shot 38-percent on those looks, which is relatively great, and more to the point: above the break threes are much more valuable than corner threes as far as the player shooting it goes.

One swing skill: Jamison Battle and Ochai Agbaji's spot in the Raptors rotation

The Raptors' rotation next season should be fascinating. Outside of the presumed starters (which will include RJ Barrett on day 1, as we've already hashed out), you can make the case for another seven players who are deserving of minutes on a night-to-night basis. But it's unlikely that Darko Rajakovic trots out a 12-man rotation every game, particularly when that same rotation contains some positional duplication. For example, rookie Collin Murray-Boyles and Jonathan Mogbo will likely be battling it out for minutes this season.
