Tadgh Farrell (4) and his grandaunt Mary Holt (60) died after a petrol bomb was thrown through the living room window of the family home in Castleview Park, Edenderry, Co. Offaly, on December 6. The child's grandmother Pauline, who was babysitting Tadhg alongside her sister, suffered serious burn injuries in the blaze and remains hospitalised. It has been confirmed by gardaí that a man was arrested on Wednesday amid the ongoing investigation into the attack. A Garda spokesperson added: "He is currently detained on suspicion of murder under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the midlands."
