Relic of St Brigid returns to home town in Ireland after 1,000 years
A special church service and procession were held in Kildare to mark the 1,500th anniversary of St. Brigid's death.
St. Brigid's remains were originally buried in Kildare but were later moved to Downpatrick Cathedral in Northern Ireland for safekeeping. [ more ]
