A grandfather thwarted a would-be carjacker Friday when the suspect attempted to steal the man's car while his grandson was inside, officials said.The suspect, Anton Cross, 24, of Mundelein - out on parole for second-degree murder - was arrested about 40 minutes later when police were notified about a suspicious man hiding in bushes about a mile and a half from the scene, a news release from the DuPage County state's attorney and the Naperville police chief said.
