A missing driver in Big Sur was rescued after being spotted by a California Highway Patrol airplane waving a makeshift flag near the wreck on a remote beach.
The driver had swerved to avoid a deer, causing the vehicle to roll 400 feet down a steep slope, leaving him stranded until he was rescued two days later. [ more ]
