ICE is sowing chaos and terror in our communities, resulting in the tragic killing of Renee Good in Minnesota.

I think what folks don't want is rhetoric. They want specifics. And we're proud of the fact we've got the only growing economy in the northeastern part of the United States. I've cut taxes seven times. The indicators in our schools are going up along with our investment. I made a pledge to hire 2,000 more cops and invest in local violence prevention, and violent crime is down 12% across our commonwealth, fatal gun violence down 43%. Those are concrete deliverables,

On Thursday, Trump again targeted Omar, a Somali immigrant, saying she should be investigated because her net worth has risen dramatically since she arrived in Congress in 2019. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is worth over $30 Million Dollars, Trump wrote on Truth Social. There is no way such wealth could have been accumulated, legally, while being paid the salary of a politician.

Though only 17 of the 47 presidents were governors, only four men (James Garfield, Warren Harding, John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama) have gone directly from Congress to the White House. Among Democrats, however, the last sitting or former governor to win a presidential nomination was Bill Clinton. Indeed, the last governor to run a viable Democratic nomination contest was Howard Dean in 2004, and his signature issue was foreign policy (his opposition to the Iraq War).

For many, one particular breakdown is a final, damning cause for despair: Minnesota's apparent inability to investigate and potentially prosecute the federal agents responsible. The Department of Homeland Security on Saturday reportedly blocked Minnesota officials from examining the scene of Alex Pretti's shooting. Access was refused even after state officials got a judicial search warrant. As a result, key forensic evidence was almost certainly lost. This comes after state officials were excluded from the investigation into Renee Good's death.

Democratic Representatives Mike Thompson (CA-04) and Richard E. Neal (MA-01) even introduced a bill called the American Affordability Act, which promises to reduce housing, educational, and childcare costs with a variety of tax credits. Congressional campaign professionals have been urging candidates from coast to coast to adopt an "affordability agenda." And-for good reason-recent polling shows that the cost of living tops the list of voters' concerns.
