We're extending the deadline to submit Federal 100 nominations into 2026. Our final, no-extensions deadline is Jan. 14, 2026. This gives you an extra two weeks to finalize your nominations to make sure the superstars in the federal IT community get the recognition they deserve. Anyone in the federal IT community is eligible: career civil servants, political appointees, contractors, academics, members of Congress and congressional staff.

The Massachusetts Seal, Flag, and Motto Advisory Commission was given a Dec. 15 deadline to produce recommendations. But the full body has not met since late August, and a round of public hearings that must occur before final recommendations are given have not been scheduled. The commission itself is the second such group to try to tackle the contentious topic in recent years. The first commission was created by state lawmakers in 2021, but disbanded by the end of 2023 without offering any concrete proposals.

Teachers, educators, and student podcasters across the country have asked for more time, leading to an extension of the Student Podcast Challenge deadline to May 25 at midnight E.T.
