However, to reduce Kirby Air Riders to another kart racer feels disingenuous. Yes, racing is at the center of the experience, but what makes Kirby Air Riders stand out is how it bends its foundational mechanics to create new game modes and refine older ones. The result is a terrific sequel packed with clever ideas, fun challenges, and a lot of charm.
Let's start with the keybinds, as this is one of the first menus you'll see after heading into the settings (it's labeled "Controls"). Unlike some other extraction games or multiplayer shooters, Arc Raiders keeps things fairly straightforward when it comes to your keybinds. There are only a few crucial keybinds that you'll want to change, but these can play a huge role in whether you live or die during a gunfight with an enemy.
As usual, I love the matte white case that comes with these buds; it feels less sticky than the shiny cases from Apple and others, and it makes it slide into pants pockets like a puck on ice. One thing the case doesn't come with is wireless charging; you'll have to stick to USB-C. Battery life is a pleasant seven hours, with a replaceable (!) battery in the case, combining for 20 hours with active noise canceling on and 27 with it off.
