The video shows the victim walking from the rear to the front of the suspect vehicle as it sits straddling the sidewalk, attempting to pull out from a driveway onto the street. This appears to have been some sort of confrontation, and the driver appears to accelerate into the victim as he passes in front of the vehicle, knocking him onto the hood and onto the ground before running him over.
Brown was charged with home invasion, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over age 60, kidnapping, witness intimidation, armed assault in a dwelling, armed burglary, breaking and entering in a building at night, larceny of a motor vehicle, and larceny over $1,200.
Reifschneider said he tries to think about a moment when he helped someone, even if it's something mundane like pulling up behind a driver who ran out of gas. He's encouraged his fellow police officers to also reflect on a good deed.
