The Victorian Stone project by Iris Ceramica (part of Iris Ceramica Group) continues its evolution, focusing on the expressive power of three-dimensional wall surfaces. This extension introduces a line of white-body coverings, reinforcing the ceramic project's ability to bring a sense of nature, peace, and solidity to contemporary spaces. Designed to be a chameleonic project that balances matter and light, the latest additions create a refined and cozy environment, offering boundless design possibilities.
Her mother had a habit, in Siesbye's childhood, of giving away her daughter's toys to other children; as an adult, Siesbye started to treat herself to gifts. On that trip, she came home one afternoon to find that the leopard was gone: her mother had gifted it to the young daughter of family friends. Later, visiting these friends, Siesbye told the little girl that she would like the toy back when the child was done playing with it.
But a humble ceramic plate or porcelain pasta bowl can definitively elevate your culinary experience, and the best dinnerware brands know this very well. Beautifully crafted pieces can quickly become heirlooms-like your grandmother's wedding china that your mom only pulls out for holidays-but, let's be honest, not all of us have the money to be precious about what we serve our morning toast on.
Jonathan Adler has always treated glamour like oxygennecessary, intoxicating, and freely available to anyone bold enough to breathe deeply. His work doesn't sit politely on a coffee table; it shimmies. It sparkles with a bit of naughtiness, intelligence, and a delicious refusal to take the world too seriously. Clay in his hands becomes personality, attitude, a wink disguised as form.
We planned a sauna facility in Kasama City, known since the Edo period as a center for Kasama ware and ceramics. The site is surrounded by a complex mix of environments: scattered ceramics schools, art museums, and golf facilities, yet also densely lined with residential homes. As a facility intended for use without clothing, the site could be read as being in a four-sided siege situation, enclosed by buildings and open fields.
A quick glimpse of Jacques Monneraud 's vessels give the impression of lighthearted craft time, with cardboard tubes and layered cutouts affixed with pieces of clear tape. Perhaps they're maquettes for larger pieces or simply playful experiments with an inexpensive material. But look closer, and you'll discover there's a lot more to these vessels than they first let on. Namely, they're actually ceramic.
Though matcha cups aren't a requirement to make delicious tea, they certainly bring some beauty to the ritual. In case you haven't noticed, we're currently in the midst of a matcha craze, and if you're lucky enough to get your hands on the good green powder, having the right tools to properly prepare it can be the difference between tolerating your caffeine intake versus truly enjoying it.
The relationship between Adebunmi Gbadebo and her material, clay, is one of supplication-on the part of Gbadebo. The churched among us consider a potter something of an autocrat; they find masochistic affinity with the idea of clay as the humble, dumb stuff of life of which they are made. But clay will give its protest. In certain environmental situations, clay will choose catastrophe.
In the Foshan Guanyao Cultural and Art Center (Guanyao Sanbao) project, the architects adopted an approach of comprehensive restoration to its original state, combined with localized micro-renovations, in order to preserve the character of the original street block. At the same time, they incorporated spatial cues themed around "ceramics" to provide a spatial foundation for curators, artists, and operators, ultimately realizing the vision of development of related business format and revitalizing the district through ceramic art.
Cameron Caldwell loves making faces-the hand-thrown, jubilantly biomorphic ceramic type. Born with mild cerebral palsy and a connective tissue disorder known as Marfan Syndrome, the 25-year-old ceramicist spent his adolescence in physical therapy working with putty and Play-Doh to build up dexterity and motor control. In doing so, he realized a natural talent for modeling forms and now uses his unrestrained imagination to create eye-catching, colorfully tactile vases that include a new series of celebrity heads.
