The family of Kristin Smart is suing Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for negligence in handling her disappearance and subsequent murder.
The lawsuit alleges that Cal Poly's police force ignored multiple reports of suspicious behavior by Paul Flores, the student who was later convicted of Smart's murder. [ more ]
