The Miami Marlins have had a disappointing off-season, but Kim Ng claims that it's fine and that the fans just need to be more patient.I'm hoping that Kim is being honest and that something big will still take place.Could it be a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks?How about this trade instead?I don't know if Kim will do something, but let's look at what she technically can do....
Can the Miami Marlins still make a big move to improve hitting?

Another star player is now off the board, Carlos Correa is no longer an option for the Miami Marlins.He signed a 13 year contract with the San Francisco Giants for $350 million.He would've been a perfect signing for us...This is just further proof that Bruce Sherman is unwilling to spend at the necessary levels for the Miami market, while MLB does nothing about it.

It's official, small-market teams are ready to spend.The Minnesota Twins are serious about retaining SS Carlos Correa and the Tampa Bay Rays are pursuing CF Brandon Nimmo.The Miami Marlins can afford to land a top player.That's a fact proven by looking into the team's financial situation.If a big market Miami team can't afford players that small market teams can, something is very  wrong.

Bruce Sherman said that he's committed to winning and doesn't take credit for the 1997 and 2003 World Series winning Miami Marlins teams.

The Los Angeles Dodgers non-tendered former NL MVP Cody Bellinger and the Miami Marlins have to act.The Fish need a CF and Bellinger just happens to be a pretty good one.There was a time when he'd be at the top of the top 20 free agents lists... shameless plug: you can see ours here (part 1) and here (part 2).

When a free agent receives a qualifying offer, he can either accept it or reject it.If he accepts it, then he receives a one year salary of $19.65 million for 2023.If he rejects it, then he can either re-sign with his team, or sign with another one, that will have to give up a draft pick in the 2023 draft to sign him.

Bruce Sherman needs to spend on the Miami Marlins.I've been saying it for months and it's still relevant.There's no excuse for The Fish to not have a high payroll considering that Miami is a major market in the country.Better teams mean bigger profits, so investing in the team is the right thing to do.
