April 7, 1969: Bill Singer recorded the first save in MLB history during Dodgers' game against Cincinnati Reds.
In 1977, the Dodgers made a change to have Frank Sinatra sing the National Anthem on Opening Day for Tommy Lasorda's first game as manager. [ more ]
