Buckley's family and friends have gathered to meet the media - most of them after very little sleep, having stayed up until the early hours to see their beloved Jessie win the coveted Oscar for Best Actress, becoming the first Irish woman to do so.
Thank you to the incredible women that I stand beside. I am inspired by your art and your heart, and I want to work with every single one of you. The producers who created this ship for us to stand in, and my shipmates for life, including Hylda Queally, the Clare-born Hollywood superagent representing not just Buckley, but also Byrne and Reinsve. None of this is possible without you.
On Sunday evening, the BAFTAs took place in London and it was filled with unexpected wins, stand out style, and PDAs. Jessie Buckley continues her awards season golden streak and made history as first-ever Irish woman to win a BAFTA for Best Actress for her role in Hamnet. It rounded out a busy weekend - after picking up an IFTA on Friday. She is edging ever closer to that Oscar statue.
