School officials in Revere, Massachusetts are warning families to check their children's backpacks for signs of bed bugs after the pests were found on students.
The district contacted the Revere Board of Health and followed protocols from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to treat affected classrooms.
Bed bugs do not transmit diseases, but their prevalence in hotels and multi-unit housing has become more common in the U.S. [ more ]
