Bayern Munich intend to sign a young midfielder this summer and are targeting Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi among others, prepared to pay over €60m.
The midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has signed a new contract with Lille, thus cooling the rumours linking him with both AC Milan and Juventus in Italy. It was back in November 2024 that Milan were first mentioned in the same sentence as Bouaddi. Paulo Fonseca was the coach of the Rossoneri then, and having joined the club from Lille, he was a big admirer of the now 18-year-old.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Arsenal are pushing hard to get the deal done. However, Chelsea want to sign the player as well. The journalist claims that the player could cost around 50 million at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can win the race for his signature. They need more creativity and control in the middle of the park, and Bouaddi would be a superb long-term investment for them.
The Blues have done superb work with signings like Estevao Willian, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer in recent times, and they're set to continue their policy of recruiting elite young talents to long-term contracts. As first reported here for the Daily Briefing, Chelsea are now confident in their approach as Enzo Maresca's side make great progress this season, while their policy of offering players long-term deals is also expected to give them an advantage in the race for the best talents.
Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing the highly talented French midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. The 18-year-old is highly rated across Europe, and he has a bright future. He has already established himself as an important player for LOSC Lille, and he has the technical attributes for Premier League football as well. According to TBR Football, several clubs are interested in securing his signature, along with Arsenal and Liverpool.
