Luka Doncic will return to the Lakers but is out for the playoffs due to a hamstring injury.
He'll be fine, it's more precaution sitting him out," head coach Derek King told Hershey's Zack Fisch. Protas suffered a lower-body injury against the Senators in Saturday's 6-3 defeat. He was one of seven Bears players listed on the team's injury report before Sunday's puck drop.
After missing two games with an upper-body injury, rookie forward Justin Sourdif returned to the ice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex on Friday morning. The 23-year-old centerman wore a light blue, no-contact jersey, but was not sporting any extra protection on his helmet after taking a puck to the face against the Nashville Predators last weekend. Sourdif suffered his injury early in the second period of the Capitals' 3-2 loss to the Predators, playing just 6:16 of ice time before leaving the game.
PHOENIX -- Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Deni Avdija left Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns because of a lower back injury and the team said he wouldn't return to the game. Avdija was listed as questionable coming into the game but decided to play. He lasted just one minute before leaving the court and going back to the locker room.
