Auto burglaries were reported in West Berkeley and at North Berkeley BART station parking lot.

San Francisco will use a $17 million grant to install 400 license plate readers to combat retail theft and auto burglaries.

The license plate readers will be placed at intersections throughout the city and may also be installed on police cruisers. [ more ]
