It seems like there's nothing you cannot find in the studio of the late painter Barkley L. Hendricks. Feathers, shells, drums, and CDs pile up in heaps. Take your pick from dozens upon dozens of sunglasses or high heels. The monograph Piles of Inspiration Everywhere is a tour presented through photographs of Hendricks's bursting studio, which spanned most of the top floor of the Victorian house that he shared with his wife, Susan Hendricks, for 35 years.

"I wanted to recreate the exact moment when passersby are caught in the rain," the Spain-based artist Sergio García Sánchez said about his Central Park cover for the November 10, 2025, issue.

I started life modelling 18 months ago. My mum said: You're getting all these tattoos and no one gets to see them. That triggered something in me. I've always loved art and I wanted to see how artists would respond to my tattoos. I replied to a local advert looking for life models on Instagram. I was only given two hours' notice before my first class, because another model had dropped out.

It was a lonely time, but a lovely summer and I decided to do something uplifting and joyous. I wanted to make a piece of music that gave me the buzz those songs did.
