GEHOcab's EDGE Explorer Trail looks less like something you'd find at an RV dealership and more like a structure designed for a remote research outpost, all hard facets, dark charcoal caps, and angular geometry that refuses to apologize for its size. French startup WheelMove demonstrated a compact motorized wheelchair add-on at CES 2026 that not only acts as a power-assist device, but can also lift up a chair's small front wheels so it can ride over rough terrain. The accessory upgrades a manual wheelchair with a 10-inch extra wheel and a 250W motor that can drive at up to six miles per hour (10 kilometers per hour) and handle slopes up to 10 percent, with a range of 15.5 miles (25km).
According to the company, the compressor integrates an ultra-high-speed electric motor exceeding 160,000 rpm combined with an oil-free foil bearing system. The architecture is designed to deliver reduced package size, lower weight and lower noise levels compared with conventional scroll compressors. Garrett states that the system is up to 50% smaller, 30% lighter and 10 dB quieter than traditional scroll-based solutions. Unveiled at CES 2026, the design responds to automated riding, especially Level 4 driving, where the vehicle can manage all driving tasks within certain conditions without human input. The retractable steering wheel is co-developed with Tensor's Robocar autonomous driving system. When the vehicle switches into Level 4 autonomous mode, the steering wheel retracts, clearing the driver's area. This creates more space in the cabin and allows the front seat area to function more like a living or working space rather than a traditional cockpit.
